NATAAZ Awards Night - 2025

The 2025 National Theatre Arts Association of Zambia (NATAAZ) Awards was a landmark event that celebrated the creativity, dedication, and achievements of Zambia's theatre practitioners. Bringing together actors, directors, playwrights, producers, technicians, and theatre enthusiasts from across the country, the ceremony recognized excellence in stage productions and individual artistic contributions throughout the year. The awards highlighted exceptional performances in both artistic and technical disciplines, with categories honoring achievements such as Best Actor, Best Lighting Design, Best Sound Design, and other outstanding contributions to the performing arts. The event showcased the depth of talent within Zambia's theatre sector while reaffirming the important role theatre plays in cultural expression, education, and social development. Beyond celebrating artistic excellence, the awards served as a significant milestone on the road to the 20th Ngoma Awards, Zambia's premier national arts recognition platform. The ceremony reflected the growing strength and professionalism of the theatre industry and provided a platform for networking, collaboration, and inspiration among practitioners. Earlier in November 2025, NATAAZ also convened its Triennial General Conference in Ndola at Lowenthal. The conference brought together members from across the country to address governance matters, strengthen institutional structures, finalize leadership processes, and implement reconciliatory measures aimed at fostering unity within the association. Together, the conference and awards ceremony underscored NATAAZ's commitment to promoting artistic excellence, organizational growth, and the continued development of theatre in Zambia.
